About Us
Who We Are
Ever read five provider websites and come away less sure than when you started? That's what got us here. We started in marketing. Wrote copy that made health products look good without spending much time on whether it was all true. Nobody complained because every other site in the space was doing the same thing.
In 2023, someone on our team watched a family member try to find a GLP-1 provider. She read comparison sites for weeks. They all said the same things in the same order with the same reassuring language. None of them mentioned the pricing catches buried in the fine print. She picked a provider. The first month cost what they advertised. The second month cost nearly twice that.
What Changed
We set out to build a comparison site. What we ended up building was ultimately an answer to this question: what are people actually paying, and what are they actually getting?
That question turned us into something closer to journalists than marketers. We started reading the fine print ourselves. Terms of service pages, FAQ sections, pricing disclaimers most people never scroll to. When a provider's pricing wasn't listed publicly, we called their support line and asked. If "all-inclusive" was doing a lot of work in a sentence, we found out what it was actually including.
We tracked what we found in a spreadsheet that now has more columns than some of us are comfortable admitting. First-month pricing vs. ongoing pricing. What's covered in the subscription and what costs extra. Which states each provider serves. Whether labs are included or billed separately. The kind of information that takes hours to piece together from a provider's website, if they publish it at all.
At some point the spreadsheet became this site.
How We Work
Every provider on this site gets the same treatment. We go to their website and read the pricing, terms, FAQ, and fine print. We check first-month rates against ongoing rates because those numbers are often different, and the difference matters when you're budgeting $200 or $300 a month for medication. When prices aren't public, we pick up the phone. We cross-reference what providers claim with what patients say on Trustpilot and other review platforms.
Multiple people on the team read every page before it goes live. One person checks whether the facts hold up under scrutiny. Another reads it the way you would, asking whether the page actually helps someone make a decision or just sounds like it does. We've published wrong numbers before. We've had pages pass every internal check and still miss something obvious. Those failures are why the process looks the way it does now.
We also track changes over time. When a provider updates their pricing or adjusts their program, we update our pages. The article history on each review shows what changed and when. Some of our archived pricing data doesn't exist on the provider's own site anymore, which is part of why we keep it.
What We Are (and What We're Not)
We're a small team. Stubborn about getting the details right. We are not doctors. We don't prescribe medication, assess eligibility, or provide medical advice. What we do is help you compare the providers who do those things, so you can make that choice with accurate information instead of marketing language.
How We Make Money
We earn revenue through affiliate partnerships with some of the providers we review. When you click through to a provider from our site and sign up, we may receive a commission. That's how the site stays running.
The partnerships don't change what we write. Our editorial policy explains how we keep those relationships separate from our coverage, and our advertiser disclosure has the full details.
